Smaller, Lighter, and Easier to Maintain! The Wolf ATEX Turbolite has been fully updated in January 2024!
The new Wolf ATEX Turbolite is between 20-25% lighter than previous versions, as well as being smaller, and easier to maintain. It provides safe illumination for shotblasting, the cleaning and coating of storage tanks and vessels, as well as pipeline and structural engineering activities. They offer a safe alternative to mains and low voltage lighting where explosive atmospheres present a serious risk to workers. Models include: a Baylight, which provides a high level of all-round general illumination, and a Floodlight, which gives a wide-angle diffused beam. With an aluminium (non-sparking grade) super lightweight construction, nickel plated for protection against corrosion, the lamps are supplied with a fitted bridle and safety hook.
The ATEX Turbolite is powered, purged, pressurised and cooled by compressed air controlled by an integral regulator, which passes through the lamp head and drives the turbine wheel by means of three nozzle plates. The turbine drives a magnet rotor within windings, generating the 24 volt electrical supply which powers the 250 Watt halogen filled filament bulb.
Once pressurised, the lamp may be used underwater (see instructions for more information).
