With lives at risk, Humber lifeboat crews depend on Wolf lights

Humber Rescue lifeboat crews, all volunteers, are always on call to save lives. When searching at night they need to know their portable lights will meet two vital requirements: they must switch on instantly and keep working for hours – without fail.

“Over the past 30 years we have tried many types of lights but none  have been as good as Wolf’s,” says David Roberts, Chairman of Humber Rescue, an independent charity not linked to the RNLI.

“When searching at night we have found Wolf lights last the course. The lights go on and on, despite the hammer they get in rough weather.

“Their charging points are always showing they are ready for use 24/7 and their power means we have ample light available throughout a search which is second to none.   They are a really well made product.”

Humber Rescue were recommended to use Wolf lights by Sheffield based specialist safety equipment supplier IM&M, who work in partnership with Wolf to meet customers’ demanding requirements for portable lighting,  proven to withstand hazardous conditions in challenging locations.

Humber Rescue, who provide fast response search and rescue services in association with HM Coastguard, covers around 540 square miles of the Humber Estuary, including the rivers Hull, Humber, Ouse and Trent.

The River Humber is renowned as one of the most unpredictable stretches of water in the world, with strong currents and shifting sandbanks which test the skill of even the most experienced navigators.
